CHURCH - For Persecuted
Holy Spirit, help them to be strong in the grace that is theirs in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:1
Deliver them, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men. Psalm 71:4 Matthew 6:13
O God, please hide them from the conspiracy of the wicked, from noisy crowds of evil doers. Psalm 64:2
Lord, may they be encouraged to approach Your throne of grace with confidence, so that they may receive mercy, and find grace to help them in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
LORD, I lift to You the persecuted Christians who are troubled at all the justice that is driven back in their land and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. It seems as though truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. Those who persecute rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are evil thoughts; ruin and destruction mark their ways. The way of peace, they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. Isaiah 59:14-15,7-8, Jude 20-23
Help Your people to take comfort in that, You too! Lord, are displeased that there is no justice and appalled that there is no one adequate to intervene, and have said according to what they have done, so will You repay. Nevertheless, You Jesus, are The Redeemer, Who has come for those who will repent of their sins. Have mercy on those men and women of violent words and actions. Cause them to turn to You and be saved from their sins. Isaiah 59:16,20-21,20
Dear God, may Your daughters take encouragement from Your truth that their beauty does not come from outward adornment, but instead their inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in Your sight. Please give them Your grace today to enable them to cast all their troubles on to You Jesus, and do what is right and not give way to fear. 1 Peter 3:3-4,6
Please lead (name(s) through the depths and save them from the hand of the enemy. Redeem them and their situation for Your name’s sake. Psalm 106:9-10,8 Titus 2:4
Holy One, may they not so dread and fear the outcome of this trouble that they do not cry out to You for help, and make You alone their refuge. Isaiah 57:15,11,13
