CHURCH - For Persecuted
Father God, please give the persecuted church this day the grace to continue to choose rather to be mistreated with Your people than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. Hebrews 11:24-25
Father, may they not wander from the faith in this time of distress. 1 Timothy 6:17
LORD, I lift to You those whose hearts are pierced, feeling as though they have become the laughing stock of those around them. In Your mercy give grace to those whose life is bitter at the moment, and may feel as if they are trampled in the dust and deprived of peace. They have forgotten what prosperity is. LORD, may they run to You for help. Holy Spirit, please help them to follow Jesus' example and not be afraid to offer up prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears. Comfort Your people and have compassion on Your afflicted ones. Isaiah 49:13
Dear God, may Your grace be given to them when, at times, they doubt their son-ship, and even feel worthless and near to being cursed. Please encourage them to feel sure of better things – things that belong to salvation. Hebrews 6:8-9
Whenever they feel far away from You God, may they remember that they have been brought near to You, through the blood of Christ; And are no longer without hope, and without You God, in this world. Ephesians 2:12-13
Father God, may they truly know that they are dearly loved children of Yours. Ephesians 5:1
Give them Your grace to hold fast their confession in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Hebrews 4:14
I thank You Jesus, that in order that Your people would not know shame and disgrace in Your presence, Your back was beaten and Your beard pulled out, You were mocked and spat at, to present us faultless before the Father in heaven. May You be glorified in the persecuted church this day. Isaiah 50:7,6 Matthew 27:30-31 Ephesians 5:27
