CONDUCT - Work

Holy Spirit, please give me understanding about the early Church's rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."  2 Thessalonians 3:10
Lord, please lead me by a straight way to employment where I can settle.  Psalm 107:6
Because there is nothing better than for a man to enjoy his work, please grant me this grace.  Ecclesiastes 3:22
Jesus, I want to be an instrument for noble purposes, holy, useful to You Master, and prepared to do any good work; help me to be faithful.  2 Timothy 2:21
Holy Spirit, when I am tempted to pass over everyday work, please help me to remember that the Levites also had specific work tasks to do, such as: door keepers (security guards), scribes (database input), secretaries, labourer foremen, practiced musicians. Please help me to see that all hard work brings a reward and to do all my work faithfully, however mundane.  2 Chronicles 34:12-13 Proverbs 14:23
Since I call on You Father, Who judges each man's work impartially, may I live my life here as a stranger in reverent fear. For it was not with perishable things that I was redeemed from an empty way of life, but by the precious blood of Jesus. So my faith and hope are in You God.  1 Peter 1:17-19,21
Please help me to understand that when I am not successful in what I undertake, and it feels as though You have left me, maybe this is a test to show to me everything that is in my heart.  2 Chronicles 32:30,31
Dear Father God, I am Your child, please help me to get over any sense of loss of identity because I am no longer in paid employment. I thank You that You have called and chosen me and prepared good works for me to walk in.  John 1:12 Ephesians 2:10
I do not want to be as one who watches the wind and will not plant, or looks at the clouds and so will not reap. Please show me where I am guilty of procrastinating, or fearful of taking a chance, and enable me to repent.  Ecclesiastes 11:4
I thank You Lord that You desire to open for me Your good store house to bless all the work of my hands as I continue in Your will.  Deuteronomy 28:12
