CONDUCT - Temptation

Sovereign Lord, I thank You for Your Word - it is perfect, reviving the soul. Your statutes are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your precepts are right, giving joy to the heart. Your commands are radiant, giving light to the eyes. I cannot thank You enough for Your Word. Your directives are more precious than gold; sweeter than honey from the honeycomb. By them is Your servant warned; and in keeping them is great reward. May I meditate on Your Word in my heart, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.  Psalm 19:7-8,10-11,14
With regard to my former way of life, Jesus please help me to put off my old self (which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires) and be made new in the attitude of my mind. I choose to put on the new self, created to be like God, in true righteousness and holiness.  Ephesians 4:22,23,24
Lord, may I know that You do not desire the spirit of man to grow faint before You, please help me to not keep to my wilful ways.  Isaiah 57:17,16
Holy Spirit, please help me to remember that Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered.  Hebrews 5:8
Thank You God, that You made me alive with Christ and forgave me all my sins. May I not be disqualified for the prize, or lose connection with Jesus the Head, and so not grow as God would cause me to grow.  Colossians 2:13,18-19
Holy Spirit, teach me how not to submit to the rules of the basic principles of this world as though I still belonged to it.. May I understand that they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.  Colossians 2:21
Please help me to not forsake the LORD and so be put to shame.  Jeremiah 17:13
Dear Holy Spirit, please enable me not to live the rest of my earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. For I have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do - living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. Help me to stand with dignity when they think it strange, that I do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and heap abuse on me. May I remember that they will have to give an account to You Who is ready to judge the living and the dead. Lord have mercy on them and enable me to always be prepared to give a reason for the hope I have in You, yet with gentleness and respect, so that those who speak maliciously against my good behaviour in Christ, may be ashamed of their slander.  1 Peter 4:2,3-5 1 Peter 3:15-16
I want to behave as one who listens to the truth.  John 18:37
Today, I will take courage in the thought that You LORD God, told my Lord Jesus to sit at Your right hand, until He made my enemies a footstool for His feet. I want to see these enemies in my life of (identify) under Jesus’ feet.  Psalm 110:1 Hebrews 1:13 Acts 2:34
