Holy Spirit, please enable me to truly value the Word of God for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Lord Jesus, please enable me as one of Your spiritual shepherds to take care of my flock and in Your Name seek to strengthen the weak, heal the sick, and bind up the injured. Please encourage me to endeavour to bring back the strays and the lost; and to search for the scattered: so that they no longer wonder aimlessly. Help me to tend Your flock, for You will hold me accountable! Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd, please teach me and the congregation how to play our part in this caring of Your flock . Amen! May those in the congregation who sit in darkness today see a great light. May they see You Jesus, the light that has come into our world, and follow You. Micah 7:8 John 8:12
Holy Spirit, please show me where I behave as a shepherd who lacks understanding for the true needs of my flock. Isaiah 56:11
I thank You God of all comfort that I can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort I received from You. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Dear God of hope and encouragement, please help me to not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time I will reap a harvest if I do not give up. Romans 15:5 Galatians 6:9
Holy Spirit, enable me to say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear, your God will come… to save you". Isaiah 35:4
