Lord Jesus, our Redeemer, I lift to You the area in which we all live. At times justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but it seems all is darkness, for brightness, we walk in deep shadows. In our exasperation Lord, we find ourselves either growling like bears to those who will listen, or moaning mournfully like doves to ourselves. For we look for justice, but seem to find none, for deliverance, but it seems far away. Please forgive us Lord, for You see it all.  Isaiah 59,:9,11,16,20, Daniel 9:19-20
Holy Redeemer, on behalf of the community, I confess that our offences are many in Your sight, and our sins testify against us. Our offences are ever with us - and we acknowledge our iniquities, rebellion and treachery against You Lord: turning our backs on God, offering lies that our hearts have conceived. Justice is driven back - righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter and truth is nowhere to be found.  Isaiah 59:12-16,20 Daniel 9:19-20
Jesus, our great high priest, You have fulfilled the Law of Moses, please forgive us and divert the fullness of any potential disaster that may come upon this community by graciously causing us to seek Your favour and turning from our sins and giving attention to Your truth. May we not forget that our God is righteous in everything He does, yet we have not obeyed Him! Amen.  Hebrews 4:14 Hebrews 6:20 Daniel 9:13-14
Please forgive us Lord, for You see it all and are displeased. Lord, there is no one else adequate to intervene, come to those in this area who will repent of their sins. Our Redeemer, Lord Jesus, come! Amen.  Isaiah 59:15-16 Acts 17:30 Acts 2:38
Good Shepherd, provide many watchful shepherds for the people of this area, so that they do not wander into danger and become a prey to the enemy. Remind the shepherds Lord, that You hold them accountable for their flocks.  Ezekiel 34:10 Hebrews 13:17 Mark 6:34
Holy Spirit, please prepare in this area honest and good hearts, that may hear the Word and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.  Matthew 13:19-23, Luke 8:15
Our Father in heaven, would You thwart the purposes of evil people in this area, so that Your plans may stand firm forever. Let the purposes of Your heart for this place stand firm. Amen  Psalm 33:10-11 Mathew 6:13
Jesus please speed the cause of righteousness in this area.  Isaiah 16:5
I commit the building of this community to You. For unless You, O LORD, build the house, its builders labour in vain.  Hebrews 3:4 Psalm 127:1
Jesus, because You said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also", I ask You to search my heart so that I may know its true treasure. I do not want to be deceived about what motivates me, or is truly important to me about where I live.  Matthew 6:21 Jeremiah 17:10,9
