Dear Lord, would You show us what causes fights and quarrels in our marriage relationship. We do not seem to be able to recognise that they come from the unfulfilled desires that battle within us - help us to take responsibility for this. Lord, I have asked You for answers and some I have not received, because I ask with wrong motives; thinking mostly of my pleasures and comforts. O Lord, I confess I need to come nearer to You, purify my heart, and stop being double-minded. I also confess that I often judge and slander my spouse please forgive me and give me more grace. God, You oppose the proud and I have been very indignant and so need to humble myself in this relationship, I ask for Your grace as I do this. Holy Spirit, please help me to remember that there is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and destroy, so who am I to judge others. God forgive me my many sins. Amen! James 4:1-3,8,11,6,12
