To my shame, I find that I have misjudged others’ motivations and intentions towards me, and feel like the person who is so busy looking at the splinter in another’s eye that he cannot see the plank in his own. Holy Spirit, please reveal to me the root of this judgementalism, so that I can truly repent and cast it aside. May I be taught, rebuked, corrected and trained in righteousness as I read all parts of the Bible; and be prepared to encourage others with great patience and careful instruction.  Matthew 7:3 John 14:28 Revelation 3:19 2 Timothy 3:16 2 Timothy 4:2

Dear God, may my beauty not come from outward adornment, but instead be that of my inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in Your sight. I cast all my troubles on to You Jesus, and ask that I may do what is right and not give way to fear.  1 Peter 3:3-4,6
Almighty God, please free (name) who is held captive by drugs/alcohol, etc., and release him from the darkness of addiction so that he may know Your comfort and cease to mourn. Amen.  Isaiah 61:2-3
May my family not turn to people useless to them, who bring neither help nor advantage, but only shame and disgrace.  Isaiah 30:5
Lord, please enable (name) to no longer be captive in darkness, but desire to be free!  Isaiah 49:9 Matthew 18:7 John 8:36
God help (name) to not rage against Jesus as Saviour and be put to shame, but bow the knee by choice now.  Isaiah 45:24,23 Philippians 2:10
