DISCIPLESHIP - Discipleship
The truth is God that I am one of Your chosen people, holy and dearly loved, so please help me to clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Give me grace to bear with and forgive those I have grievances with. May I forgive as the Lord forgives me. Finally, with all these virtues, may I put on love which binds them all together. Colossians 3:12-14
Heavenly Father, may I cherish the truth that in Christ, we who are many form one Body, and each person belongs to all the others. Amen. Romans 12:5
Today, I will remember that I am a letter from Christ… written with the Spirit of the living God on my human heart. Such confidence as this is mine through Christ before God. Not that I am competent in myself to claim anything for myself, but my competence comes from God. He has made me competent as a minister of a new covenant... and the Spirit gives life! Praise You Lord!! 2 Corinthians 3:3-6,
Holy Spirit, please help me to remember that the Body of Christ has different gifts according to the grace given to us. Please help me to use mine in proportion to my faith. Romans 12:6
Jesus, because You said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also", I ask You to search my heart so that I may know its true treasure. I want to recognise how I am deceived about what motivates me, or is truly important to me in my life. Matthew 6:21 Jeremiah 17:10,9 1 Corinthians 4:5
Lord, I want to make good decisions about how I use my time and resources. When I consider, that we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ that each one may receive what is due to him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad, I am keen to give a good report. 2 Corinthians 5:10
Holy Spirit, please teach me how not to spend money, and my labour, on what does not satisfy. Isaiah 55:2
Please teach me when not to withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in my power to do so. Proverbs 3:27
I want to boast in You Lord, for it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends, and I so want You to commend me Lord. 2 Corinthians 10:18
Dear God, when I serve others, may I increasingly do it with the strength You provide, so that in all things You may be praised through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:11
