PERSECUTION - Persecution
Jesus, You truly know what it feels like to be helpless, isolated and forsaken, in the grimmest of circumstances, please help me to overcome these feelings. Mark 15:34
Compassionate and gracious God, I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope. Because of Your great love LORD, I am Not consumed, for Your compassions never fails. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness. Jesus Christ, from the beginning until the hours when You bore my sins on the cross, You knew God was with You and He never left You alone because You always did what pleased Him. I will say to myself, "The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for Him." For You LORD are good to those whose hope is in You, to the one who seeks You. It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Please give me grace to wait for You, for You are my portion, and great is Your unfailing love. Lamentations 3:24-26,32

Holy Spirit, would You cause my roots to go deep down into Jesus, for when trouble or persecution comes to me because of the Word, I do not want to fall away. Matthew 13:21
Jesus, help me to take up my cross and follow You today. Matthew 16:24
