CHURCH - For Persecuted
It is impossible for You to lie God, so may they flee to You for refuge and have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope of salvation You have set before them. Hebrews 6:18
May their faith and knowledge stay resting on the hope of eternal life, which You dear God, Who do not lie, promised before the beginning of time. Titus 1:2
Holy Spirit, please help us to remember that great persecution of Christians began in the Church at the time of the Apostles, they too were scattered, buried their dead and mourned. Help those who are persecuted to remain faithful and realise that Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. Acts 8:2 Hebrews 5:8
Thank You Lord, that they can take comfort in that those who walk uprightly in Christ Jesus enter into peace: they find rest as they lie in death. Isaiah 57:2 Luke 1:79
Your dead will live; their bodies will rise. Isaiah 26:19 John 11:25
Jesus I thank You that there is in store for them the crown of righteousness, which You Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to them on that day. 2 Timothy 4:8
May Your grace, Lord Jesus Christ, be with those who are persecuted because of Your Name this day. 1 Thessalonians 5:28
Jesus, please help those who are arrested for their Christian faith and help them not to worry about what to say, or how to say it, for You said that at that time it will be given what to say - for it will not be them speaking, but the Spirit of Your Father speaking through them. Matthew 10:19-20
When they are behind locked doors in fear, may they feel Your presence with them saying, "Peace be with you". John 20:19
Father, please help them to not be surprised at the painful trial they are suffering, as though something strange was happening. But, help them to rejoice that they participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that they may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13
