CONDUCT - Guilt
O God, grant me the grace this day to live as a free (wo)man. 1 Peter 2:16 2 Peter 1:3
Jesus, please give me the integrity to demolish every argument that sets itself up against the knowledge of You in this area of guilt in my life. Matthew 22:16 2 Corinthians 10:5
Lord, may I remember an example from everyday life: that just as I would not set aside, or add to a rental contract, so it is with Your promise given in grace - I will depend on Your promise of justification and not add to it by doing good works or wasting time in unprofitable guilty thoughts and emotions. Galatians 3:15,22 Isaiah 64:6
Thank You Jesus, that what counts is that I am a new creation so I do not have to carry guilt. Galatians 6:15 1 John 1:9
Lord Jesus, may Your Spirit release me from the dungeon where at times I sit in the darkness of guilt. Isaiah 42:7
It can feel as though I am walled in with this issue, so that I cannot escape and I am weighed down with chains. Even when I call out or cry for help, it feels as though You have shut out my prayer. Yet I will call out again despite my feelings, for You have said, "Call to Me and I will answer you". Please help me to recognise and accept Your answer in whatever form it takes. Amen. Lord, part of my feelings of guilt and unworthiness come from not evangelising, or sharing my testimony of Your love, to others I meet. I want to be among those who acknowledge You before men, and so am acknowledged by You before the Father. Matthew 10:32
