RELATIONSHIPS - Grandparent
Dear Lord, at those times when discipline needs to happen, may my grandchildren be enabled to speak freely, and to open wide their hearts to hear the truth in love. Please help us to not withhold any affection from each other, or bear a grudge, but to forgive one another. 2 Corinthians 6:11-12 Matthew 6:9
Lord Jesus, I want to build up my grandchildren rather than pull them down; please help me to do this and not seem to be trying to frighten them with my words. 2 Corinthians 10:8-9
When I smile at them may the light of my face be precious to them. Job 29:24
Holy Spirit, please help me to remember that love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:7
Jesus, I have been coming and going, and need to stop and rest awhile in Your presence. Mark 6:31
Father God, when I feel exhausted, may the eyes of my heart be enlightened to know that Your power and mighty strength, which raised Jesus from the dead, is in me. Thank You. Ephesians 1:18,20
Dear Lord, please be my strength and my song as I work out the best way to bless the grandchildren in their need for activity. Isaiah 12:2 Matthew 1:23
O Lord, those times I feel vulnerable and ill equipped to do all that is required of me as a grandmother of young children, please enable me to remember the truth; I am a letter from Christ … written with the Spirit of the living God on my human heart. Such confidence as this is mine, through Christ, before God. Not that I am competent in myself to claim anything for myself, but my competence comes from You alone God. You have made me competent as a minister of a new covenant… and The Spirit gives life! Lord, thank You that Your grace will be with me as I look to You in this ministry of helping with the raising of my grandchildren. Your joy Lord, as I do this unto You, will be my strength. 2 Corinthians 2:3-5, Nehemiah 8:10
Remember me, O LORD, show Your favour and come to my aid, as I seek to be a good grandparent. Psalm 106:4
Father, may my family praise You God for the service I perform in supplying their needs. 2 Corinthians 9:13,12
