SUFFERING - Addiction
Oh Lord! Why does my pain seem unending and my wounds grievous and incurable? Will You be to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails? Holy Spirit please guide me into all truth. Jeremiah 15:18 John 16:13
Compassionate and gracious God, You have seen my ways, please heal me, guide me and restore comfort to me. Isaiah 57:18 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
I come to You Jesus for I feel like a bruised plant, and I know that You are gentle and You will not break me. A smouldering wick You will not snuff out. John 7:37
All knowing Lord, Your eyes are on all my ways, they are not hidden from me, nor is my sin concealed from Your eyes. Forgive me my sinful ways and guide me in paths of peace. Jeremiah 16:17 Proverbs 3:17
Lord, You bought me out of bondage to sin, may I remember my journey in those days and Your righteous acts Lord. Lord, You have shown me what is good and what You require of me. To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You my God. Please help me to be faithful to You in these things. Micah 6:5,8
Lord, when I am secure, may I hear Your voice when You warn me, and not choose to not listen. I want to choose to listen to You so that I may not become ashamed and disgraced. Jeremiah 22:20-22
Oh Lord, may I not shame my own house with this addiction. Habakkuk 2:10
Help me to keep the kind of fasting You LORD have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke. To share my food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter, to clothe the naked, and not to turn away from my own flesh and blood. …… Isaiah 58:6-9 Matthew 11:27-30
For then You say my light will break forth like the dawn, and my healing will quickly appear, then my righteousness will go before me, Your glory Lord, will be my rear guard. Then I will call, and You Lord will answer, when I cry for help, You will say, "Here am I". Isaiah 58:8-9 Mark 11:28
I thank You Jesus that I can hear Your voice, You call me by name, and lead me. You go before me, so I shall follow because I know Your voice, and a stranger I simply will not follow. You are the Good Shepherd, I will put my trust in You. John 10:3-5,11,14
