Holy Spirit, when I am tempted to pass over everyday work, please help me to remember that the Levites also had specific work tasks to do, such as: door keepers (security guards), scribes (database input), secretaries, labourer foremen, practiced musicians. Please help me to see that all hard work brings a reward and to do all my work faithfully, however mundane. 2 Chronicles 34:12-13 Proverbs 14:23
Father, may I understand that I ought to do my part of service having the hope of sharing in the harvest with others working alongside me. 1 Corinthians 9:10
Jesus, help me to take up my cross and follow You today. Matthew 16:24
Thank You Father for Your covenant of peace with me, please make me a blessing, and cause showers of blessing to come down in their season as You promised those who walk with You. Forgive me Lord for having pride which is precious to me. Please change me so that my heart may not be proud, looking to overly ambitious things - concerning myself with great matters, or things too wonderful, or unrealistic for me.
