Dear merciful Father God, I ask Your forgiveness because I have been negligent in giving charitably of my time, strength, and finances. Forgive me too, for the times that I gave gifts reluctantly, as if under compulsion and without cheerfulness. Help me to remember that, whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. May my heart be enlarged in its desire to give, and may I then proceed to give what I have decided - for God You love a cheerful giver. O LORD God, in Your Word You express Yourself utterly truthfully, and unambiguously on subjects most of us would avoid; Please give me integrity in my speech and relationship to others, and reveal to me any unrighteousness in my mind and heart. May I know that You, God Most High, are a shield to me when I fear being disliked, misunderstood, or rejected?
