TREASURE CHEST - Treasure Chest
Forgive me Father that I have not shouted for joy to You the Lord of all the earth. I have not worshipped You with gladness and come before You with joyful songs. Please forgive me, and give me desire and grace to enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise; May I give thanks to You and praise Your name knowing that You Lord are God! Dear Holy Spirit, please enable me not to live the rest of my earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. For I have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do - living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. Help me to stand with dignity when they think it strange, that I do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and heap abuse on me. May I remember that they will have to give an account to You Who is ready to judge the living and the dead. Lord have mercy on them and enable me to always be prepared to give a reason for the hope I have in You, yet with gentleness and respect, so that those who speak maliciously against my good behaviour in Christ, may be ashamed of their slander. 1 Peter 4:2,3-5 1 Peter 3:15-16
