CHURCH - For Persecuted
Jesus, please help them to not give way to fear, and to not live in constant terror every day. 1 Peter 3:6 Isaiah 51:13
Listen to their cries for help, for You are their King and their God. Psalm 5:2
Please help the persecuted church to remember that blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
Heavenly Father, may they receive Your grace to accept what it means to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Amen. Philippians 3:10-11
Holy Spirit guide them into all truth and disclose to them what is to come so that they may be wise making the most of the time they have, and learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs that they may not be unfruitful. John 16:13 Ephesians 5:16 Titus 3:14
Please help them to recall the former days, after they were enlightened and endured a hard struggle, at times suffering or being reproached for their belief in Jesus. May they remember how happy they were to accept those difficulties, since they knew that they now had a better possession and an abiding one. May they continue to value and consider precious their salvation. Hebrews 10:32-36
Lord, may Your people not run the race in vain. Galatians 2:10
Jesus, my hope and my prayer is that they will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now You Christ will be exalted in their bodies, whether by life or by death. Amen. Philippians 1:20
Grant them the grace to give time to consider You Jesus, for You endured from sinners such hostility against Yourself, so that they may not grow weary or fainthearted. Hebrews 12:3
LORD, when they feel that life can be so unjust, may they remember that You love justice too! Isaiah 61:8
